Gina

I was born in Rhode Island and have lived in Texas for 26 years. I am a huge hockey fan and spend most of my weekends at my boyfriend’s hockey games. I love going to new restaurants and trying different foods.

Gina went to Irving High School and graduated in 2001. In 2019, Gina decided on a career change and enrolled in a dental assisting program. As someone who always loved going to the dentist, she knew it was a field she’d grow and thrive in.

“I wanna cook for people and make them happy and give them the best bacon on earth.” – Sydney, ‘The Bear’

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be and why?

Healing power so I could heal those around me.

Kat

I am originally from upstate New York, a little small town called Oswego right on Lake Ontario. I moved to the great state of Texas in the summer of 2022 with my husband. He was stationed at Fort Drum in upstate New York and when his service was over, we decided to move back to his hometown in Rhome, TX. We love the hot weather and southern hospitality! For fun I like to try new restaurants and go for walks.

While Kat was in New York, she graduated from a dental assisting program at Cayuga Community College. When moving to Texas, she went through another program at Tarrant County College to become a Registered Dental Assistant.

Brie

I have lived in Texas since I was 13 years old and am a dog mom to my two-year-old Labrador Retriever, Luna. In my free time, I am usually at the gym or taking Luna to the park!

Brie started her collegiate career in Lubbock at Texas Tech University where she completed her basic courses. She then transferred to Texas Woman’s University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree in 2020. She loves her patients, getting to know them, and ensuring they are as comfortable as possible during their dental appointments.

“Strive for progress, not perfection.”

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

You can’t control everything around you, but you can control how you react.

Macaul

I was born and raised in Texas and I will be newly married in the fall of 23′. I cannot wait for this new season of life to begin. In my free time I love to hangout with my family and friends, go to the movies, and hang out with my cat, Milton.

Macaul is new to the dental field and just recently graduated with her RDA from Grapevine Dental Assistant School. She is very excited to learn about the industry. Macaul is CPR and first aid certified.

“Don’t say you can’t until you prove you can’t.”

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

The perfect weekend to me would be spent at the lake on a boat with my family.

Jessica Geurkink, DDS

I knew I was going to be a dentist the day I got my braces off in the seventh grade. There is nothing quite like having your smile transformed. Dentists have such a wonderful opportunity to change people’s lives by improving their smile, raising their confidence, and relieving their pain. I am so fortunate to be a part of this profession and to serve my community.

I love connecting with my patients on a personal level and partnering with them to improve their oral health. I enjoy getting to know my patients and learning how I can serve their individual needs and make them as comfortable as possible. I have a particular passion for cosmetic dentistry and love to create something beautiful and leave my patients smiling bigger than they ever have before.”

Dr. Geurkink, or “Dr. G” as her patients call her, is a Texas native. She grew up in Allen, TX, and went to Baylor University in Waco where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience. She graduated first in her class from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. She has practiced in both Texas and Arkansas and is active in the Academy of General Dentistry. She considers herself a life-long learner and loves to take continuing education courses to add new techniques and technology to her practice. She is proud to be a part of the Sky Creek Dental team.

Dr. G spends most of her time with her husband and their two sons. They love to spend time with their extended family playing tennis, going to Colorado, and going to the lake.

Rachel

Born and raised in Texas, I have been happy to call the Keller area my home since 2004, where I work, worship, and play.  I am the proud mom of three boys – the oldest is a mathematics major and plays percussion in the wind ensemble at Trinity University, the middle one is a percussionist at Keller High School, and the youngest is a percussionist and athlete at Keller Middle School.  When not attending band or sporting events, I enjoy working out, traveling, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies.

Rachel is brand new to the dental field.  After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development, she comes to us from the education field, where she taught for seven years and directed a private preschool for nine years.  She is using those organization and management skills to manage our office in the role of Team Lead.

“Let all you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

If I were a superhero, I would have the ability to duplicate myself, so I could be a full-time mom and full-time employee so as not to miss out on anything.  One of me might be full-time vacationing too!

Amber

I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I lost my mom when I was 14 so my aunt raised my little brother and me. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. We were not blessed with children; however, we do have three fur babies. I have three amazing nephews that my brother and sister-in-law let me spoil, so I get to be the fun Auntie Am! My husband and I are old souls and love anything that has to do with cars – we have seven! I also love baking, reading, traveling, crafting, and spending as much time with my family that I can. My birthday is in October, so fall is my absolute favorite. I am that person that has her fall and Halloween decorations up on September 1st!

Amber earned a bachelor’s degree in English with the intention of becoming a teacher.  She started working in the dental field right after high school when her pediatric dentist hired her for a summer job, and 22 years later, she is still in it.  Amber has been at Sky Creek Dental since 2019 and truly loves what she does and enjoys talking to and getting to know our patients.

“But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength.” – 2 Timothy 4:17

“I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

It’s October, there are zero chores to do, it’s 50 degrees outside, and the windows are open with a crisp breeze. I am under a cozy blanket, my favorite candle DW Homes, Warm Tobacco Pipe, is burning, and I am watching some of the classic Halloween movies.

Brandie

I am a mother of three boys Carter, Roger, and Roddy and have a Great Dane named Solee. I married the love of my life Roger in 2013. I like to make memories with my family in my free time cooking, playing games, going on adventures and traveling when we can.

Brandie joined the dental field in 2002, directly after graduating high school. She has been with Sky Creek Dental since 2016. She loves the opportunity to get to know the patients and their families, and the patients love that she is always smiling and has such a positive personality.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” -Ephesians 4:2

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I would have a superpower that could make everyone happy.  I hate to see people sad or upset.

Chelsa

I live in Azle with my daughter Cheyenne and our two fur babies, China Pirie a Chihuahua and Nikita a German Shepherd. I also have four purr babies, Oscar a Blue Russian, Loki a Maine Coon, Pink LaRue a tabby, and Wednesday Adams a solid black cat. While one of my favorite pastimes is watching my daughter doing high school cheer (Go Hornets!) and competitive cheer, I also love watching my nephews race Motocross, along with traveling, spending time with family and friends, camping, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.

Chelsa has been in the dental field for 25 years and absolutely loves it. In those 25 years she has worked in all aspects of dentistry starting out as a hygiene assistant, then as an RDA/CPT doing IV sedation assisting in oral surgery, and now works up front as an Appointment Coordinator. Chelsa truly loves interacting with and getting to know each one of our patients. Patients always say she is so bubbly and feels like she has known them for years.

“Imagination is the beginning of creation.” – George Bernard Shaw

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

My idea of a perfect weekend would be out on our land with family hunting.

Meaghan

I was born and raised in Saginaw. I am married to my husband, Chad. We have a daughter who is 12 and son who is five. I love family time whether being outside or playing board games. We also enjoy time in Colorado and being in the mountains. Some of my other favorite pastimes are playing dominoes and watching football.

Meaghan graduated from Amarillo College in 2007 with a degree in Dental Hygiene where she was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She has been with Sky Creek Dental since 2021 where patients enjoy her kind and nurturing personality.

“A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset.”

What did you want to be when you grew up when you were younger?

I wanted to be an elementary school teacher, but that changed when I got braces in high school and fell in love with dentistry!
