Dr. Lori Harrell

My interest in dentistry was sparked by a high school field trip. Touring LSU’s Dental School as a junior led to an internship with my hometown dentist as a senior and I was hooked. I saw the opportunity to form trusting relationships with people of all ages and provide a unique type of healthcare specifically tailored to each person’s needs. I loved people and science and working with my hands…and as a teenager decided that dentistry was the perfect fit for me.

Even though these days family life keeps me busy, I am so glad that I choose to become a dentist over a decade ago. Serving my patients has brought me so much joy through the years and I especially love being a safe place for those people who may be particularly scared or anxious about dentistry.

Dr. Harrell received a degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from McNeese State University in 2002. She married John, her college sweetheart and a newly commissioned Army officer, the very same year. They immediately went to live in Georgia, where they welcomed their first two children, and then onto Germany where Lori decided to pursue her professional dreams and applied to dental school.

The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston was the next adventure for the Harrell family. Their third child came along in 2012, and Dr. Harrell graduated right on time in 2013. After working as an associate in Texas the Army sent the whole family to Belgium where they grew to a party-of-6. Since then, Dr. Harrell has worked as a general dentist in both Virginia and Texas, as well as a volunteer dentist for the Red Cross in Italy. She currently volunteers at the Beautiful Feet Ministries Dental Clinic in Fort Worth.

The Harrell family currently resides in Keller and Dr. Harrell is thrilled to serve the local community as part of the Sky Creek Dental team.

Rachel

Born and raised in Texas, I have been happy to call the Keller area my home since 2004, where I work, worship, and play.  I am the proud mom of three boys – the oldest is a mathematics major and plays percussion in the wind ensemble at Trinity University, the middle one is a percussionist at Keller High School, and the youngest is a percussionist and athlete at Keller Middle School.  When not attending band or sporting events, I enjoy working out, traveling, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies.

Rachel is brand new to the dental field.  After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development, she comes to us from the education field, where she taught for seven years and directed a private preschool for nine years.  She is using those organization and management skills to manage our office in the role of Team Lead.

“Let all you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

If I were a superhero, I would have the ability to duplicate myself, so I could be a full-time mom and full-time employee so as not to miss out on anything.  One of me might be full-time vacationing too!

Amber

I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I lost my mom when I was 14 so my aunt raised my little brother and me. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. We were not blessed with children; however, we do have three fur babies. I have three amazing nephews that my brother and sister-in-law let me spoil, so I get to be the fun Auntie Am! My husband and I are old souls and love anything that has to do with cars – we have seven! I also love baking, reading, traveling, crafting, and spending as much time with my family that I can. My birthday is in October, so fall is my absolute favorite. I am that person that has her fall and Halloween decorations up on September 1st!

Amber earned a bachelor’s degree in English with the intention of becoming a teacher.  She started working in the dental field right after high school when her pediatric dentist hired her for a summer job, and 22 years later, she is still in it.  Amber has been at Sky Creek Dental since 2019 and truly loves what she does and enjoys talking to and getting to know our patients.

“But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength.” – 2 Timothy 4:17

“I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

It’s October, there are zero chores to do, it’s 50 degrees outside, and the windows are open with a crisp breeze. I am under a cozy blanket, my favorite candle DW Homes, Warm Tobacco Pipe, is burning, and I am watching some of the classic Halloween movies.

Brandie

I am a mother of three boys Carter, Roger, and Roddy and have a Great Dane named Solee. I married the love of my life Roger in 2013. I like to make memories with my family in my free time cooking, playing games, going on adventures and traveling when we can.

Brandie joined the dental field in 2002, directly after graduating high school. She has been with Sky Creek Dental since 2016. She loves the opportunity to get to know the patients and their families, and the patients love that she is always smiling and has such a positive personality.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” -Ephesians 4:2

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I would have a superpower that could make everyone happy.  I hate to see people sad or upset.

Chelsa

I live in Azle with my daughter Cheyenne and our two fur babies, China Pirie a Chihuahua and Nikita a German Shepherd. I also have four purr babies, Oscar a Blue Russian, Loki a Maine Coon, Pink LaRue a tabby, and Wednesday Adams a solid black cat. While one of my favorite pastimes is watching my daughter doing high school cheer (Go Hornets!) and competitive cheer, I also love watching my nephews race Motocross, along with traveling, spending time with family and friends, camping, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.

Chelsa has been in the dental field for 25 years and absolutely loves it. In those 25 years she has worked in all aspects of dentistry starting out as a hygiene assistant, then as an RDA/CPT doing IV sedation assisting in oral surgery, and now works up front as an Appointment Coordinator. Chelsa truly loves interacting with and getting to know each one of our patients. Patients always say she is so bubbly and feels like she has known them for years.

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

My idea of a perfect weekend would be out on our land with family hunting.

Meaghan

I was born and raised in Saginaw. I am married to my husband, Chad. We have a daughter who is 12 and son who is five. I love family time whether being outside or playing board games. We also enjoy time in Colorado and being in the mountains. Some of my other favorite pastimes are playing dominoes and watching football.

Meaghan graduated from Amarillo College in 2007 with a degree in Dental Hygiene where she was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She has been with Sky Creek Dental since 2021 where patients enjoy her kind and nurturing personality.

“A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset.”

What did you want to be when you grew up when you were younger?

I wanted to be an elementary school teacher, but that changed when I got braces in high school and fell in love with dentistry!

Jennifer

I have called Colleyville home since I was eight years old. I enjoy spending time with my husband Chad, my four-year-old daughter Anya, and 18 month old son Benjamin. I also have an Australian/German Shepherd mix dog named Ruger and a couple of chickens that have become a new hobby to me this past year. My family LOVES to travel any chance that we get to make the most out of life. We often visit Poland, and love relaxing at the beach, but our favorite places to visit are the mountains to hike in the summer and ski in the winter.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University. She has been with Sky Creek Dental since 2019. She loves getting to know each patient, making them feel comfortable, and educating them on their dental health and procedures.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

My family is from Poland and I am the first in my family born in the United States. I speak fluent Polish and I am teaching my two children to speak Polish as well!

Wendy

I have been married to my husband William for 21 years. Our 19 year old son Ashton attends the University of Arkansas for business finance, and our daughter Anniston is 14 and plays softball at Argyle High School. If I’m not watching a Razorback game, I’m watching some softball. Besides enjoying time with my kids, I’m usually remodeling or decorating a home with my talented husband.

Wendy is a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Midwestern State University. She has been a hygienist with this office for 17 years and hopes to retire from Sky Creek Dental. She loves her patients and who she works with.

If you could invent a holiday what would it be?

If I could invent a holiday, it would be “Put Your Phone Down Day.”

Londyn

I am a proud fire wife to my sweet husband, James. We have a one-year-old Goldendoodle named Lady. In my free time, I’m usually taking our crazy girl on a walk or hanging out with family and friends.

Londyn attended Texas A&M University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She returned to the Fort Worth area after undergrad and worked as a dental assistant for one year before attending dental hygiene school at Tarrant County College, where she later graduated and earned her dental hygiene license.

What is a special talent you have?

I have a very special (and weird) talent of being able to peel bananas with my toes.

Garrett

I was born and raised right here in Keller, TX! In my free time I like to work out, play guitar and spend quality time with friends and family.

Garrett graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Arkansas in 2020, became a certified EMT and Registered Dental Assistant in 2021, and is currently taking dental school prerequisites at the University of Texas at Arlington.

What is the most important thing you learned before high school?

The most important lesson I learned before high school was how to do a job the right way. I am extremely lucky to have a family full of people that work very hard and always give their best effort no matter what it is they are doing. Growing up with these incredible people as my role models led to a lot of good lessons learned but the best one that they gave me was the importance of working hard and doing a job the best you can.
