Autumn

I was born in Louisiana but grew up in the North Richland Hills/Hurst area, where I built a love for family, laughter, and good food. In 2022, I married my best friend and the absolute love of my life! Together we share our home with our spoiled but adorable dog, Shannon. I’m happiest when I’m traveling, shopping, or trying a new recipe.

Autumn graduated from Kaplan College in 2013 and began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant. She has a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. She also takes pride in easing people’s pain and seeing the joy and excitement they feel when their dental health improves.

What is a special talent you have?

One of my special talents is being a supertaster.

Brandie

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but moved to Flower Mound when I was 10. I’m happily in love with my husband, Ryan, and I’m a proud bonus mom to two boys. We also have two dogs, Luna (a German Shepard) and Charley (a Mini Dachshund), who are always up to something-whether it’s stealing their brothers’ socks or sneaking leftover snacks from their rooms. When I’m not chasing after them, I love thrifting and running my online stores on Poshmark and Depop as a fun hobby.

Brandie completed her dental assisting program and earned her Associate of Science degree at North Central Texas College in Corinth, Texas. With 15 years of dental assisting experience, she is passionate about creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and supporting her team in every way she can.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

I’m a big fan of a good bed-rotting weekend. My husband knows the way to my heart and he brings me sour gummy candies, we order takeout, and then binge-watch our favorite shows or movies. It’s basically the Olympics of relaxation, and I’m undefeated.

Amanda

I’ve been joyfully married to my amazing husband Page since 2011, and together, we cherish our two incredible sons, Tristan and Brady. With a passion for exploration, I find delight in traveling the world, attending sporting events, and savoring diverse cuisines.

After graduating from Tarrant County College in 2008 with her associate’s degree, Amanda ventured into the dental field shortly thereafter. Over the past 17 years, she has immersed herself in dentistry, finding immense fulfillment in assisting patients in achieving their desired smiles. Amanda finds it a privilege to contribute to their journey towards dental health and confidence.

If you could invent a holiday, what would it be?

If I could invent a holiday, it would be called “Gratitude Day.” This holiday would be dedicated to expressing gratitude and appreciation for the people, experiences, and things in our lives that we often take for granted.

Kolleen

I was born and raised in Indiana. My husband and I reconnected from high school six years ago (I am now blessed with my daughter Breana) which brought me to Texas from Colorado. If there is decent weather, you will find my husband and me either outside on our deck with a bonfire, gardening, or maybe you’ll hear us on our motorcycles! We have both loved riding and seeing where the wind takes us! You’ll also catch us working on refurbishing furniture in our spare time or my husband building furniture. I am a huge animal advocate and you will most likely see me either in parking lots feeding strays, trying to find them homes,  or volunteering to transport helpless fur babies.

Kolleen has been in dentistry since she was 21 years old.   She previously had the opportunity to be a dental assistant for 18 years and has since transitioned to the front office.

“When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.” – Winston Churchill.

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?

Spending the entire weekend at home relaxing outside or out riding.

Aubry

I grew up in Bedford and have lived here my whole life. God blessed my husband and me with one son who is involved in at least two sports at any given time! We’re either at a practice, a game, or a church event and enjoy every minute of all the busyness. We have a Maltese/Yorkie mix named Jake, whom we love going on family walks with.

Aubry completed dental assisting school at ATI Career Training Center in 2010 and has been in the dental field ever since. She loves getting to know the patients and learning as much as she can when it comes to all the different aspects of dentistry.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

The best piece of advice that I have been given is that you get to choose to be happy.  Don’t wait for the right circumstances, be happy with where you are and what you have right now.

Myrissa

Originally, I grew up in sunny California, moved to green Tennessee, and then my husband, Jared, and I found our calling to Texas. If I am not doing dentistry, you’ll find my husband and me fishing or taking our dog, Duke, for walks and hikes. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and enjoying fresh air and adventures.

Myrissa graduated Carrington College Sacramento in 2020 where she won the community service and Western Periodontal award. She started with Sky Creek Dental in 2024 where she aims to change the way people feel about themselves and their smiles. She takes a gentle approach to dentistry and her goal is to have our patients leave with a happy and healthy smiles. She’s excited to meet all the new faces that walk through our doors and welcome back our established patients.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” — Winston S. Churchill

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be and why?

I would want the power to transport anywhere in the world because I hate waiting in TSA lines. One stipulation would be that my luggage could transport with me. I need my vacation clothes, of course!

Kat

I am originally from upstate New York, a little small town called Oswego right on Lake Ontario. I moved to the great state of Texas in the summer of 2022 with my husband. He was stationed at Fort Drum in upstate New York and when his service was over, we decided to move back to his hometown in Rhome, TX. We love the hot weather and southern hospitality! For fun I like to try new restaurants and go for walks.

While Kat was in New York, she graduated from a dental assisting program at Cayuga Community College. When moving to Texas, she went through another program at Tarrant County College to become a Registered Dental Assistant.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

You can’t control everything around you, but you can control how you react.

Jessica Geurkink, DDS

I knew I was going to be a dentist the day I got my braces off in the seventh grade. There is nothing quite like having your smile transformed. Dentists have such a wonderful opportunity to change people’s lives by improving their smile, raising their confidence, and relieving their pain. I am so fortunate to be a part of this profession and to serve my community.

I love connecting with my patients on a personal level and partnering with them to improve their oral health. I enjoy getting to know my patients and learning how I can serve their individual needs and make them as comfortable as possible. I have a particular passion for cosmetic dentistry and love to create something beautiful and leave my patients smiling bigger than they ever have before.

Dr. Geurkink, or “Dr. G” as her patients call her, is a Texas native. She grew up in Allen, TX, and went to Baylor University in Waco where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience. She graduated first in her class from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. She has practiced in both Texas and Arkansas and is active in the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. She considers herself a life-long learner and loves to take continuing education courses to add new techniques and technology to her practice. She is proud to be a part of the Sky Creek Dental team.

Dr. G spends most of her time with her husband and their two sons. They love to spend time with their extended family playing tennis, going to Colorado, and going to the lake.
